The Chamber of Trade has selected the Richard Hunt Foundation as its chosen charity for 2010-2011.
The 'Welsh Warrior' fund was set up after the death of Pte. Richard Hunt, a local man who was the 200th British soldier to lose his life on active duty in Afghanistan.
The charity raises money to enable support injured service personnel to receive necessary treatment, equipment, assistance and respite holidays, as well as raising awareness of the impact of the war on serving soldiers who have been injured, physically or mentally. It also highlights the suffering of the loved ones that care for and support them, as they are often forgotten.
The Chamber of Trade is proud to support this local charity. For more information on the activities and aims of the Foundation please visit the website.
